Lovely Lita's Sheltering Tree Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization, owned and operated by Karen Clark. Years ago a squirrel crossed Karen's path and it all fell in place. We have 10 acres of wooded area, for the squirrels to be released and live happily. Currently the property is in the process of being fenced so that the squirrels will have some protection against roaming animals. Eventually this property will house the animals, which are unable, due to injury or birth defect, to be released. Plans for the future include large outdoor wilding cages and lots of boxes in which the wild ones can build their new homes and raise families of their own.
